Beginning a New Year—2023

I didn’t even realize I still have my blogger account.I started it in 2012 and here it’s 10 years later. A lot has happened since then and I’m still alive and healthy. As I age I have the usual aches and pains. My memory is slipping so I work at keeping my brain exercised through word games and learning Spanish with Duolingo. I also continue to play my guitar and keyboard to keep my mind sharp.I’m not as fluent on my guitar. I’ve lost dexterity and speed and my right hand shakes so it’s hard to hold a pick when I play but on the keyboard I don’t have the problem and I can use both hands to play the lead and chords independent of each other. So what I’ve lost on the guitar I’ve gained playing on the keyboard. I still love writing, creating and recording. I like using Garageband and now BandLab. I can play on other people’s songs and they can contribute to my songs. The great thing about BandLab there’s so many great musicians including guitar players so I don’t have to worry about how poor and weak my guitar playings become. I still love playing my guitars so I’ve slowed down by doing songs that are more melodic and easy to play. Then there’s YouTube that has tons of guitar playing and techniques videos. There’s the short clips too for tips and tricks. There’s all styles too. Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Hip Hop, Rand B etc. So I can create to my hearts content. Anyway life’s good and I have a lot to be thankful for.I thank god I get to experience it so abundantly—loving family, loving wife loving pets, loving God, Jesus and Mary, roof over my head, warm place to sleep and plenty of food to eat.  I have more than money could ever buy and most of all I’m thankful for each and every day I get to be a human here on earth. I’m looking forward to the next journey GOD  has planned for me when I get to be with the Holy Spirit and all those waiting for me in Heaven—
